Starei cercando disperatamente la foto "Afghan Girl" di McCurry. Quale qualità di stampa è decente secondo voi?
Dovrò aspettare qualche asta perché dal sito ufficiale mi viene proprosto una open edition a 10k dollari e non sono proprio convinto.. (sotto l'email a riguardo)

Invece per la versiona della donna afgana con le mani che coprono il viso siamo sui 5500 dollari. Cosa ne pensate? La qualità della stampa è ok? Ne vale la pena per quei soldi (sono da archivio, non è che sono scarti?)? (sotto email a riguardo)

In the size 20x24 there will be 90 total printed, of those 90 we have sold 15. The prints are on Fuji Crystal archival
prints, made from the original negatives.

10k per un open edition? Di un autore ancora in vita? Veramente il marketing di McCurry sta toccando livelli di eccellenza!

eh già....

Però va detto che si tratta della foto considerata universalmente la più famosa dell’autore, e che i proventi servono (se ho ben capito) a finanziare un’organizzazione no profit che si occupa dell’istruzione in comunità afgane.
Altrimenti, per un prezzo di appena 400 volte tanto, si potrebbe puntare allo “stupendo” autoritratto concettuale della Sherman (anch’essa vivente), sicuramente in tiratura unica…
